Scouting Report:
J.T. Barrett has all of the intangibles, the experience, the physical attributes and the production that make for success as a quarterback in the NFL. However, there is not a lot of game tape that gets scouts excited about him as an NFL quarterback. Barrett lacks decisive decision making skills, and has long stretches of inaccurate throws and poor decision making. The East West Shrine game did little to change opinions on Barrett as a draftable quarterback prospect, but it could be a blessing in disguise to perhaps push him to pursue the draft process at a different position. His leadership skills and experience are off the charts, and they would go a long way to convince teams to take a chance on him as a developmental wide receiver that can have special packages as QB.
