Scouting Report: Donovan Peoples-Jones
School: Michigan Position: Wide Receiver Class: Junior Height: 6’2″ Weight: 208 Projected Draft Round: 2-4
Scouting Report:
An ideal height, frame, speed, and length for a wide receiver prospect at the next level. Peoples-Jones has been stymied in offensive schemes at Michigan that thusfar have not maximized his potential, but that could change drastically before the draft. While in offenses that haven’t spread it out as much as he will see this year, he has developed some core techniques with route running and blocking, two under the radar attributes that NFL teams prize. When utilized, has a smooth stride and excellent explosiveness that makes him hard to cover and catch in the open field. Bursts out of cuts, and can also beat defenders with pure vertical speed. Wing span makes it difficult to beat him at the point of the catch, and he can get up and meet the ball at its highest point. Smart, and understands defenses and how to get to open spaces. Tremendous upside that should thrive in an offense that should be much more wide open in his Junior year.
