Already established as one of the best defensive players in the country, Delpit has excellent versatility and a very high football IQ. He has worked as a linebacker when needed, but works best at safety where he can be moved around all over the defense. A superb athlete, he identifies plays quickly and is able to get a quick jump to where the play is going. He has a nose for the football and produces as a defensive back, not just disrupting passes. Has the speed to cover the slot and is a sound and willing tackler. Delpit is the ideal safety at the next level.
